The First Annual Meeting of Bulgarian CAF Users, organized by the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), was held on February 27, 2020 in Hissarya town. It was attended by 80 civil servants - representatives of various Bulgarian administrations applying CAF model. They shared their practical experience and “lessons learned” about the implementation of CAF model in their institutions. CAF consultants and trainers to the National CAF Resource Center/IPA took part in the discussion on important issues of the process of CAF implementation into Bulgarian administration. International experience and latest trends in the CAF development were also presented. Isabelle Verschueren, a member of the international CAF network and national CAF correspondent of Belgium, presented the new version of the model - CAF 2020, as well as the work on CAF in Belgium. Tomislav Mičetić, a member of the international CAF network and a national CAF correspondent of Croatia, introduced the new guidelines for CAF development in the upcoming years and the quality policy in Croatia. The meeting was closed with a general discussion on the successful and effective CAF use in Bulgaria.
The purpose of the IPA / National CAF Resource Center is to turn this meeting into a regular annual forum for sharing good practices, “lessons learned” and benefits from the implementation of the European Quality Model in the Bulgarian public administration and for the development of the Bulgarian CAF Community.
